The concentration of i-n-s-u-l-i-n in serum-free culture medium is generally between 5-20mg/L. For different cell lines, it is necessary to choose the most suitable concentration.

Recombinant human i-n-s-u-l-i-n is supplied in powder form and frozen below -18 ºC. Dissolve before use, usually using h-y-d-r-o-c-h-l-o-r-i-c acid solution (10mM) to make a reserve solution containing 1-2 mg of i-n-s-u-l-i-n per 1ml, then sterilize and filter. After packaging, the filtrate can be stored at -20 ºC for 6 months. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided.
