summary:
Trypsin is a serine proteolytic enzyme with a molecular weight of 23300 Daltons. It is a single peptide chain composed of 223 amino acid residues. Trypsin has strict specificity and specifically acts on peptide bonds composed of alkaline amino acids arginine and leucine. The enzyme itself is highly soluble and its activity gradually decreases or loses. Easy to dissolve in water, insoluble in c-h-l-o-r-o-f-o-r-m, ethanol, ether, and glycerol, most suitable for pH 8.0-9.0. At pH 1.8, short-term boiling hardly deactivates. Adding salt to hot solution causes protein precipitation, and the filtrate does not show enzymatic activity. Ca2+has a protective and activating effect on trypsin.

This product is purified through multiple crystallization and further prepared using chromatography and ultrafiltration techniques.
