Description: White freeze-dried powder. The lysozyme extracted and isolated from egg white is a single peptide chain composed of 18 different 129 amino acid residues. It is rich in alkaline amino acids and has 4 pairs of disulfide bonds to maintain the enzyme configuration. It is an alkaline protein with lysine at the N-terminus and leucine at the C-terminus. Egg white lysozyme is type C and is known to be the most heat-resistant enzyme, suitable for pH 5.3 to 6.4

Purpose: Biochemical research. It is an alkaline enzyme that can hydrolyze mucopolysaccharides in pathogenic bacteria. Mainly by breaking the β -1,4 glycosidic bond between N-acetyl cell wall acid and N-acetylglucosamine in the cell wall, insoluble mucopolysaccharides in the cell wall are decomposed into soluble glycopeptides, leading to the rupture of the cell wall and the escape of contents, resulting in bacterial dissolution. Lysozymes can also directly bind to negatively charged viral proteins, forming complex salts with DNA, RNA, and deprotection proteins, causing virus inactivation. Can decompose Gram positive bacteria such as Streptococcus pyogenes, Bacillus subtilis, and Staphylococcus aureus.
