I-n-s-u-l-i-n is supplied in crystalline powder form and frozen below -18 ºC. Dissolve before use, usually using h-y-d-r-o-c-h-l-o-r-i-c acid solution (10mM) to make a reserve solution containing 1-2 mg of i-n-s-u-l-i-n per 1ml, then sterilize and filter.
