Aprotinin is a white or slightly yellow powder, odorless, easily soluble in water, soluble in 70% ethanol and 50% a-c-e-t-o-n-e. Aprotinin is a single chain alkaline peptide extracted and purified from bovine lungs, free of carbohydrates, with a molecular weight of 6511.44, linked by three disulfide bonds.

Aprotinin is a broad-spectrum serine protease inhibitor that can inhibit trypsin, chymotrypsin, plasmin, kallikrein, and elastase.

The suitable pH range for aprotinin is generally pH 5.0~9.0, and beyond this range, aprotinin is prone to dissociation from enzyme molecules.

Our company's aprotinin activity reaches over 16000 units/mg, which is equivalent to approximately 5.3TIU/mg or above. Each milligram of aprotinin can inhibit 16000 units of trypsin activity.
