Appearance: Soft yellow crystals or white powder, with a slight spicy odor. Stable in the air and decomposes in sunlight. 1G is soluble in approximately 60ml of ethanol, 10ml of benzene, 50ml of vegetable oil, and in c-h-l-o-r-o-f-o-r-m and c-a-r-b-o-n t-e-t-r-a-c-h-l-o-r-i-d-e. Insoluble in water. Ethanol solution is neutral to litmus test paper. The solution does not decompose even when heated to 120 ºC. When exposed to alkali and reducing agents, it is destroyed. Toxic, with a median lethal dose (in mice, orally) of approximately 500mG/kG. It is stimulating. The product still contains s-o-d-i-u-m b-i-s-u-l-f-i-t-e menaquinone, which is a white crystalline powder. No odor or slight special odor. Has hygroscopicity. Easy to decompose and turn yellow or purple when exposed to light. Easy to dissolve in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, almost insoluble in ether and benzene.
