Appearance: White or beige crystalline powder, sensitive to moisture and light, and irritating. A chromogen reagent for detecting the activity of h-y-d-r-o-g-e-n p-e-r-o-x-i-d-e or peroxidase. When h-y-d-r-o-g-e-n p-e-r-o-x-i-d-e or peroxidase is added, its colorless aqueous solution turns blue-green (with a maximum absorption wavelength of 655nm). Dissolved in c-h-l-o-r-o-f-o-r-m and hot m-e-t-h-a-n-o-l, insoluble in water

Purpose: Biochemical research. Staining agents for peroxidase and hepatitis B antigen. It is a new and safe chromogen reagent. Compared with traditional chromogenic reagents such as benzidine, o-t-o-l-u-i-d-i-n-e, and o-p-h-e-n-y-l-e-n-e-d-i-a-m-i-n-e, TMB has the advantages of high detection sensitivity, good stability, and safe use. The results of animal experiments and Ames bacterial automatic variability tests indicate that TMB is a non carcinogenic and non mutagenic substance. At present, TMB has gradually replaced the strong carcinogen benzidine and other carcinogenic derivatives of benzidine, and is applied in clinical laboratory, forensic testing, criminal investigation, and environmental monitoring fields. Especially in clinical biochemical testing, TMB, as a new substrate for peroxidase, has been widely used in enzyme immunoassay (EIA) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The main application projects of TMB are as follows: 1. Fingerprint detection: it is currently the most effective method for displaying occult blood fingerprints in public security; 2. Rapid detection of alcohol in saliva; 3. Preparation of urine test strips; 4. Hepatitis virus testing; 5. Pregnancy testing test; 6.
